Catapult Marketing Honored with Two Reggie Awards
Firm Takes Home Gold, Bronze Award for Sunbeam, Mott's Promotions
Los Angeles, CA. (March 2006) - Catapult Marketing, a leading marketing solutions agency, was honored by the Promotion Marketing Association of America (PMA) with two Reggie Awards during a ceremony March 9, 2006, in Chicago, Ill. PMA presented the gold and bronze awards to Catapult Marketing in the category of Kids-Targeted Promotions for initiatives the company completed on behalf of its clients, Sunbeam and Mott's.
Catapult Marketing was awarded the prestigious gold award for building buzz among mothers with young children for the Sunbeam brand. The campaign featured a tie-in to the popular children's movie, Robots , and Sunbeam's irons, toasters, and mixers were brought to life through premiums that played up the movie imagery.
The campaign included a contest connected to the movie whereby five- to 15-year-old children submitted their ideas for gizmos that would make life easier for mom and dad. Catapult Marketing also created relationships with Mattel, Vivendi videogames, and Wal-Mart, resulting in a 48 percent sales increase for Sunbeam during the spring 2005 promotion period and a 41 percent boost at Wal-Mart the day of the in-store event.
PMA awarded the bronze award to Catapult Marketing for its work completed for Mott's. The campaign, "Get Apple Healthy," featured a connection to The Wiggles, an internationally recognized musical act popular among children aged three to five. Through Catapult Marketing's recommendation, Mott's sponsored the 2005 Wiggles tour of the U.S. and Canada, and gained exposure at 154 concerts in 57 markets. By the completion of the promotion, Mott's had distributed 84,000 samples and gained 232 million media impressions.
