Westport Agency Wins Two Awards in Prestigious PMA Competition


WESTPORT, Connecticut, July, 2007 < The fastest-growing marketing communications agency in the U.S. walked away with two awards in the Promotion Marketing Association's annual REGGIE competition.

Westport's Catapult Marketing was a 2007 REGGIE Awards double-category finalist for their Mars Pet Food campaign.

In the Cause/Community Outreach Promotion, Catapult captured the Silver for its Pedigree Dog Adoption Drive. The campaign also took home a Bronze Reggie in the Account-Specific Promotions category.

Pedigree sought a new, game-changing way to rebuild its business. Its goal was to recapture share and drive customer retention not by competing on price, but rather by establishing a deeper emotional connection with consumers and retail customers.

The Pedigree Adoption Drive leveraged consumers¹ emotional connection with their dogs < and all dogs < by demonstrating that more than any other brand, Pedigree shares their values. Pedigree and Catapult made the cause of pet adoption bigger, better, and more integrated than any previous effort.

Consequently, consumers are more engaged with the brand. Pedigree sales are up, and it has tied its main rival in market share for the first time in two years. Pedigree is continuing the program and expanding it as its platform for all future marketing activities.
