Sony is a premium consumer electronics brand with an extensive Home Entertainment offering, but their products were scattered in different departments and sections across Best Buy stores. The full brand experience and sense of innovation Sony brings to the home was truly sub-optimal; further, consumers were not able to see, touch, play and fully experience the brand – a key driver of purchase.

Solution

Catapult partnered with Sony and Best Buy to create an innovative interactive store-within-a-store, bringing the full range of Sony’s premium Home Entertainment solutions together in one place, including dedicated expert sales associates at each location. The new interactive retail space allows the shopper to explore Sony’s entire Home Entertainment offering, and experience Sony’s leadership in solutions like 4K Ultra HD firsthand.

Because pre-shop is vital to driving purchase in the category, Catapult also created an immersive brand destination on BestBuy.com to complement the in-store experience.
